What makes Krka National Park special?

If you haven't had the chance to visit it yet, Miro, Mašaand Dorian will help you learn more about this protected area in the new educational TV show called Gle, Krka! (Look, Krka!), which will be broadcast on the RTL Kockica channel, every day from Monday to Friday at 2:50 pm, starting on 29 January 2018.

The Public Institute of Krka National Park and the popular children's TV channel RTL Kockica have prepared 10 fun and educational instalments of this children's show, with each one focusing on one theme of the wealth of the natural, cultural and historical heritage of the park.

What is a national park, and what is travertine? Which plants and animals live in the Krka National Park area, and which is the only mammal that can fly? Where is Bilušića buk and the Manojlovac falls, and what is hiding within Oziđana pećina cave? Why do so many people visit Visovac Island and the Krka Monastery, and can you really see fairies at Roški slap? The answers to these questions will be sought out by the dear Miro and curious children Maša and Dorian, who will speak with the expert staff at Krka National Park along the way, and enjoy walks through the magical landscapes and pristine nature.

The Public Institute of Krka National Park pays great attention to education, particularly the educational role of protected areas, especially for children and youth. The awareness of the importance of environmental protection and developing sensibilities towards nature should start with the youngest members of our community, as they will be the best promotors of the positive ecological messages in their environment. Therefore, the TV show Gle, Krka! is sure to be both informative and interesting for numerous young viewers, and motif for them to bring their families to visit Krka National Park, where they can serve as tour guides and show off all they have learned!
