There are just a few days to go until the start of the 2nd Krka Half-Marathon, the international athletic race through Krka National Park.

On Saturday, 13 April 2019, about 700 runners from 18 countries will run from the Krka Eco Campus in Puljane, to the Burnum amphitheatre, a race course that is 21,098 m long. A special challenge for runners is the final climb out of the Krka Canyon, and the fastest male and female runner to conquer that ascent will receive a special prize. In addition to the half-marathon, there will also be a Fun Run for the general public on a 5.5 m course, starting and finishing at the same sites. The Krka Half-Marathon is quickly become a real family event. In addition to the half-marathon, Fun Run and the climb challenge at the Krka Canyon, a series of races for children will also take place at the Burnum amphitheatre.

The half-marathon kicks off in front of the Krka Eco Campus in Puljane at 10:00 am, while the Fun Run race begins at 10:10 am. At 11:30 am, the winner of the Fun Run race will be announced at the finish line at the Burnum amphitheatre, while the overall winner of the 2nd Krka Half-Marathon will be announced at 12:30 pm, and winners by categories at 1:00 pm. The programme ends at 2:00 pm. The children's races begin at 11:15 am, and all those coming to Burnum just for the children's races need to arrive by 9:45 am at the latest, as following this the road will be closed and passage to Burnum disabled.
