Last year was the first time the festival of folk tales, legends and myths was held in Šibenik-Knin County, at the Roški slap waterfall in Krka National Park.
The rich programme delighted both park visitors and the local community, and therefore the successful cooperation of the Public Institute of Krka National Park and the association Val Kulture is continuing again this summer.
As a blend of multimedia and interaction, LegendFest displays the Croatian intangible and tangible heritage, through a range of cultural and artistic expression. The family festival LegendFest includes artistic entertainment, including concerts, lectures, theatrical performances, exhibits, workshops, performances, video presentations and projections, at several locations at Roški slap. The interactive approach brings visitors into the world of myths, legends and interesting historical stories tied to the areas they are visiting.
Over the past eleven years, LegendFest has been held in three Croatian counties: Zagreb, Istria and Šibenik-Knin. This year, it will be held in the Istrian town of Pićan and at Roški slap in Krka National Park. The family festival has proven to be particularly interesting for children, as a place where they can express their own creativity by taking part in various art workshops, or by participating in performances, with the help of expert guides.
In order to create a rich and interesting programme this year, a CALL FOR PROGRAMMES has been opened for the LegendFest festival in both Croatian counties on the festival website (web stranici festivala).
Visitors to LegendFest can expect excellent entertainment, and can learn a little about the customs, legends and myths of these counties.
