Parks of Croatia wins the 2019 Yellow Border award for sustainable development, science and education

The magazine National Geographic Croatia and Adria Media Zagreb have awarded Parks of Croatia the Yellow Border award for sustainable development, science and education in the category 17. Partnership for targets.

The awards ceremony to recognise individuals, teams, companies and institutions that make significant contributions to sustainability was held at the Croatian Music Institute on 11 December.

In Category 17, Partnership for targets, aimed at strengthening implementation and global partnerships for sustainable development, the award was given to the project Parks of Croatia. The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy, in cooperation with UNDP and the project PARCS Global Environment Fund (GEF), is the founder of the project Parks of Croatia, which cares for the Croatian national and nature parks, raising the level of organisation and care for Croatia's natural values.

National Geographic Croatia and Adria Media Zagreb launched the project Yellow Border for sustainable development, science and education, with the aim of encouraging all citizens of the Republic of Croatia to take on the 17 sustainable development projects adopted by the United Nations, as without accomplishing these goals, there will be no future for this planet and the generations to come. The project is under the auspices of the Croatia President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, City of Zagreb, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy and the Croatian Chamber of Economy.
