If it's winter, it's time for fun – warm up with a walk in the Krka National Park!

The Krka National Park has prepared a tour program for the period from January 8 to the end of March 2018.

When the last yellowed leaf of the black ash falls, carried by the cold bora winds from the Velebit Mountains,  then in winter the silver travertine waterfalls of the Skradinski Buk transform themselves into the sparkling gown and the wrinkled waters of the Roški Slap cascades into a row of necklaces to dress the terrible Slavic goddess of winter, Morana. She will clean the air, purify the water, and strip the trees naked, laying the land to sleep so that the man who walks with her rests his soul and restores his eyes. "In seed time learn, in harvest teach, in winter enjoy“, said the poet and painter William Blake.

Is not water the most magical reflection of nature? Did not the Krka, the builder of waterfalls and bearer of life, form fairy-tale landscapes that have been reflected in her waters all her life, just as a child is seen as most beautiful in her mother's eyes?

"There is nothing in this world that is milder or more tender than water, but it defeats inflexible hardness, and nothing is equal to it. The weak overwhelms the powerful, hardness gives way to gentle. Everyone knows this, yet nobody acts accordingly", as was noted by Lao Tse, a great Chinese philosopher from the 6th century BC. Any person should be considered blessed that can walk the paths through such magnificent nature in winter and allow it to redden his cheeks and fill his lungs with freshness.

The Krka National Park has prepared a tour program for the period from January 8 to the end of March 2018. The price for all programs is 30 kn per person for adults and 20 kn for children (from 7 to 18 years old) for the Skradinski Buk and Roški Slap waterfalls. A purchased ticket is valid for a one-time visit to all land sites on the day of purchase. The Park is open from 9am to 4pm.

We should remind you that the winter period is ideal for using the Friends of the Krka Club Card. The maritime influence of the Krka River valley penetrates deeply into the mainland, significantly influencing favorable climatic conditions, and the Šibenik region is one of the sunniest in Croatia. So why not take advantage of the fine weather that nature has granted to us?
